Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I get lymphatic drainage?
It depends on your goals and where you are in your healing journey.
-
Post-surgical or acute swelling: sessions are often more frequent at first (sometimes weekly or in short series), then spaced out as swelling improves
-
Lymphedema or chronic conditions: regular maintenance sessions may be helpful
-
Some clients benefit from a series of sessions scheduled close together at first to address areas of congestion, transitioning to a sustainable maintenance schedule once regular flow is restored.
-
Wellness or nervous system support: monthly or as needed
Recommendations are always discussed transparently—there is no one-size-fits-all plan and no pressure to commit.

What should I expect after a session?
After a lymphatic session, many clients feel lighter, more relaxed and notice a decreased puffiness or pressure. Others may experience temporary fatigue, body aches, or mild flu-like feelings as the body adjusts to the fluid movement. Post-session responses vary depending on hydration levels and how congested the lymphatic system was prior to the session. Most effects are short lived and improve with rest and hydration.

Do you take insurance?
No. InnerFlow is a self-pay practice and does not bill insurance.

Do you take HSA or FSA?
Yes. Many clients use HSA or FSA cards for lymphatic therapy. Coverage varies by plan, so we recommend checking with your provider.

Do you offer home visits?
Yes, limited home visits are available for clients within a 15-mile radius from the office, who are medically fragile, or unable to travel.
A home visit fee applies, and availability is limited. Please reach out directly to inquire.

Do you sell gift cards?
Electronic Gift Cards are available through Square, please click the link to purchase.

Do you offer Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) wrapping?
At this time, InnerFlow focuses on manual lymphatic therapy and integrative care. Full CDT wrapping and compression bandaging are not currently offered.
If compression guidance or referrals are appropriate, this will be discussed during your session.

What session is best for me?
If you’re unsure, start with a lymphatic-focused session at the time length that feels right for you. Sessions are always customized and can be adjusted as we learn how your body responds.
You’re also welcome to reach out before booking for guidance.

Are your services right for me?
InnerFlow is a good fit if you are looking for:
-
Clinically informed, gentle lymphatic care
-
Thoughtful, personalized sessions
-
Support for post-op recovery, lymphatic conditions, cancer care, or nervous system regulation
If your primary goal is aggressive body sculpting or cosmetic contouring, InnerFlow may not be the best match.

What should I expect from a post-operative session?
Post-operative lymphatic sessions are gentle, non-invasive, and focused on supporting healing.
Swelling is addressed by encouraging lymphatic flow—not by force. We do not drain fluid from incisions, manipulate sutures, or interfere with surgical sites.
You must be cleared by your surgeon before booking post-op care.

Will you drain the fluid out of my incision?
No. Manual lymphatic drainage does not remove fluid through incisions or drains.
The goal is to support your body’s natural lymphatic pathways so fluid can move and be processed safely.

What can I expect from a session—will I be “snatched”?
Lymphatic therapy can help reduce swelling and puffiness, and many clients feel less heavy or congested.
However, InnerFlow does not offer body sculpting or cosmetic contouring, and results like being “snatched” are not guaranteed.
This work is about function, flow, and regulation, not aesthetic reshaping.

Do you offer body contouring?
No. InnerFlow specializes in therapeutic lymphatic care, not cosmetic body contouring or sculpting techniques.
If aesthetic contouring is your primary goal, we’re happy to refer you elsewhere.

Do you offer facial lymphatic drainage?
Yes. Facial lymphatic drainage may be included in sessions when appropriate, especially for facial swelling, sinus congestion, or nervous system regulation.
This is therapeutic facial lymphatic work—not cosmetic facial sculpting.

How do I book a session?
All appointments are booked online. Please click the Book Now button on the website to access the scheduling page.
A credit card is required to hold your appointment for no-show and late-cancellation protection. Your card will not be charged unless you miss your appointment or cancel outside the cancellation window.

Do you work with male clients?

InnerFlow currently accepts male clients by referral only.
Referrals may come from a physician, healthcare provider, or an established InnerFlow client. As a solo practitioner working in a private treatment space, this policy is in place to support personal safety and maintain a professional therapeutic environment.
This policy was implemented thoughtfully and based on past experience. While men absolutely deserve access to healing work, referrals are required to ensure appropriate scope, intention, and safety.
Requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Thank you for understanding and respecting this boundary.
